pricing & plans
How much does it cost?
Stickafile has two ways to pay. Pay-per-transfer: free up to 2 GB, then $0.10 per GB with 30-day links. Packs: buy credits up front — 100 GB for $7, 500 GB for $18, or 1 TB for $28. Credit never expires. Pack uploads get 30-day links, up to 20 portals, and no per-transfer fees.
What do I get with a pack?
Packs remove all per-transfer fees. Every upload gets a 30-day link regardless of file size. You get up to 20 portals and the Dashboard — view, rename, share, password-protect, and delete your active links and portals. Per-file download analytics show you who downloaded, when, and from where. Credit never expires.
How does pack credit work?
When you buy a pack, the full amount (100 GB / 500 GB / 1 TB) is added to your account as credit. Every upload deducts from your balance. Credit never expires — you can spread it out however you like. When your balance runs low, you can top up with another pack or fall back to pay-per-transfer for that one upload.
Can I get a refund?
Packs are one-time purchases and non-refundable once delivered. Unused credit stays in your account indefinitely, so there's no "use it or lose it" pressure — but we can't issue refunds for completed purchases.
Does the recipient need to pay or sign in?
No. Recipients just click the link and download. No account, no sign-up, no app required. That's the point — no walled gardens.
uploads & files
What's the maximum file size?
100 GB per file. You can also upload entire folders or multiple files at once — they share a single download link.
How long do download links last?
Free uploads (under 2 GB): 24 hours. Paid per-transfer uploads (over 2 GB): 30 days. Pack uploads: 30 days. After expiry, files are permanently deleted.
What happens if my connection drops?
Your upload resumes from where it left off. Every chunk is tracked on the server. Just refresh or revisit the page, select the same file, and the upload continues — only the missing chunks are sent.
Can I close the tab during an upload?
Yes. The upload will pause, but your session is saved. When you come back, you'll see a prompt to resume. Select the same file and it picks up where it stopped.
Can I send multiple files or a folder?
Yes. Select multiple files or drop an entire folder. They upload together and you get one link. Recipients can download files individually or as a zip. Folders keep their name in the Dashboard.
What can I upload in under 5 minutes?
On a 100 Mbps connection: about 3.5 GB. On 200 Mbps: about 7 GB. On 500 Mbps: about 17 GB. The progress bar shows a real-time estimate once your upload starts.
portals
What is a portal?
A portal is a shared space at one link. You create it, share the link, and anyone with the link can upload files. By default everyone with the link also sees and downloads everything in the portal — like a shared room. You can switch a portal to private inbox mode if you only want yourself to see what's uploaded.
Shared room vs private inbox — what's the difference?
Shared room (default): anyone with the link can upload AND see/download files others have shared. Good for projects, weddings, team handoffs. Private inbox: uploaders can submit files but only you (the owner) see them. Good for collecting submissions, contracts, anything sensitive. Pick one when creating the portal.
How do I create a portal?
Sign in, click "create a portal" on the homepage or go to your Dashboard. Give it a name, optionally add a message and password, pick shared or inbox mode, and you'll get a shareable link. Share it via WhatsApp, email, Discord — anything.
Do uploaders need an account?
No. Anyone with the link can upload — they just type their name (so files are attributed) and drop files. No sign-up, no email required. Their name is saved in their browser so they don't re-type next visit.
How many portals can I create?
Free users get 2 portals. Pack holders get up to 20. You can deactivate or delete portals anytime from the Dashboard.
Can I download everything in a portal at once?
Yes. Each portal has a "download all" button that triggers all files as separate downloads (no zip). When someone uploads multiple files together as a batch, you also get a "download batch" button just for those.
Do portal uploads count toward my storage?
Yes. Files uploaded to your portal follow your plan's rules — free owners get 2 GB max with 24-hour expiry, pack holders get 100 GB with 30-day expiry. Credit is debited from your balance, not the uploader's.
security & privacy
Is my file encrypted?
Files are encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest on Cloudflare R2. We never read, scan, or analyze your file contents. Download links use unguessable tokens.
Can I password-protect my files?
Yes. From the Dashboard, you can set a password on any download link. Recipients will need to enter the password before downloading. You can also password-protect portals so only people with the password can upload.
Can I see who downloaded my files?
Yes. Each file in the Dashboard has per-file analytics showing download count, page views, country breakdown, and recent activity. We track the country from Cloudflare headers — no IP addresses or personal data about the downloader.
Do I need an account?
No. You can upload, download, upload to portals, and use P2P rooms without signing in. Optional Google sign-in lets you manage your links and portals in the Dashboard and buy packs.
p2p rooms
What is the P2P room?
The room feature sends files directly between devices — peer-to-peer, no server upload. It includes encrypted chat. Both devices need to be online at the same time. Great for quick transfers when you don't need a link.
